Avenel Equine Hospital are currently seeking a friendly and motivated team member to join our equine practice in the role of Receptionist and Administration.

The primary responsibilities of this position are:

Delivering outstanding client care and customer service;

Handling client enquiries and appointment requests professionally in person, by email and over the phone;

Remaining calm and compassionate, working well under pressure;

Providing excellent communication skills to liaise with staff and clients;

Being a team player with a flexible attitude.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

Excellent customer service skills;

Previous experience with MS Office suite of products;

Organisational and communication skills with ability to communicate effectively with all personality types;

Previous experience working as a Receptionist preferred;

Knowledge of the medical / veterinary / Thoroughbred industries is an advantage but not essential.

The role will initially begin on a casual basis with a view to become permanent. During our busy breeding season period running from August through to December you will be required to work 4 to 5 days per week however the role may become part-time during the off-season.

Senior Thoroughbred Stud Reproduction Veterinarian

Scone Equine Group is seeking a full time, senior Thoroughbred Stud Reproduction Veterinarian to be based at Scone Equine Hospital.

This is a permanent long term role with prospects for ownership.

The successful applicant will have primary responsibility for the day to day veterinary management of a number of Thoroughbred studs. Applicants should have significant experience in stud reproduction and stud medicine and are required to have worked in similar roles in both northern and southern hemisphere Thoroughbred stud practice.

Scone is recognised as the Horse Capital of Australia and is located in the heart of the thoroughbred breeding and western performance industries. It is a beautiful part of rural Australia located close to major regional centres and cities on the east coast.
